Level Infinite and Hotta Studio have officially announced the upcoming collaboration between Tower of Fantasy and EVANGELION, set to launch on March 12. This partnership introduces an exclusive story and content, merging the EVANGELION universe with the expansive world of Tower of Fantasy, a popular free-to-play MMORPG available on PC and mobile devices.

The collaboration’s story involves the sudden appearance of the 4th and 10th Angels, causing disruption in Vera and around Mirroria. In response, three pilots from the EVANGELION universe, operating Multipurpose Humanoid Decisive Weapons, join forces with the Vera Guardians and the Executor to confront the Angelic threat. Due to energy constraints, the Evangelion units are temporarily housed in a sealed hangar for recharging, in preparation for further battles.

To bolster defenses against the Angels, Mirroria reactivates Tower of Fantasy’s original mecha, allowing players to pilot these machines in combat alongside the Evangelion units. Additionally, a set of all-terrain vehicles named Soul Plugs, equipped with anti-gravity engines for improved terrain adaptability, will be made available.

The collaboration also introduces Asuka Shikinami Langley as a new simulacrum and features New Smart Servant Pen Pen, who assists players during combat situations.

Tower of Fantasy will undergo server maintenance on June 1, 2023, from 6:00 to 9:00 UTC, announced the official game team. During this time, players will be unable to access the game.

This update is set to enhance player experiences, with the process also introducing new content, events, and crucial bug fixes. Post-maintenance, players will need to restart the client to apply updates across both PC and mobile platforms.

To make up for the temporary inconvenience, developers will offer compensation in the form of dark crystals and fortress combat equipment boxes. These will be delivered via in-game mail after the maintenance period, based on players meeting specific eligibility criteria.

Tower of Fantasy’s Ver. 2.5 update introduces the highly anticipated Titan Augmentation System, offering significant improvements to equipment. The system enhances equipment stats and adds new affixes, increasing their applicability. To access augmentation, Wanderers must reach level 80 and have 5-star equipment. Augmentation requires materials such as Core Control Modules, Augmentation Factors, and gold.

Augmentation boosts base stats and significantly increases four random stats, with further improvements possible in subsequent augmentations. Two extra augmentation stats are also added, previewed on-screen. Augmenting equipment progressively increases stat values, though there is a chance for decreases. Future versions may include a locking function for affixes.

By augmenting gear multiple times, Wanderers increase the chance of transforming it into Titan Equipment, visually appealing gear with an extra rare stat affix. Handguards and Reactors can receive various rare stat affixes, such as Lifesteal, HP Recovery, Block, and more.

The system also offers transfer and recycling functions. The Transfer function carries over augmentation count to new equipment, boosting its stats. Recycling allows the return of 50% of consumed materials. Resource output can be obtained from Crystal Dust Store, Bygone Phantasm, Sequential Phantasm, Void Abyss, Origin of War, Home Vendor, and Tower of Fantasy events.

With the Titan Augmentation System, equipment stats can be greatly improved, while new stats provide enhanced customization options.

Set to launch on Thursday, May 11th, the highly anticipated Sound of the Sea update promises to immerse players deeper into the game’s aquatic realms. The patch will introduce the Deepsea Caverns of the Dark Source, a mysterious underwater location, and challenge players with two new puzzle missions. Tower of Fantasy’s community should also brace themselves for the arrival of a formidable world boss, the skeletal spider Abyssant: Nakya. The update’s difficulty scaling will now be based on dimension rather than character level, leading to tougher opponents, richer rewards, and even more surprises hidden in treasure chests.

Alongside the update, players can expect the debut of Gnonno, a new character with unique abilities, including the power to summon an octopus ally and command a Mini Hurricane weapon.

Tower of Fantasy has announced that it will be merging some servers in batches to provide a better gaming experience for players. The first batch of server mergers will take place on April 17th, and players are advised to stay tuned for future official announcements regarding subsequent batches.

The server merger process will require shutting down the server while the operation is performed. However, servers that are not on the list of merged servers will not be affected.

To compensate players for any inconvenience caused during the server merge process, Tower of Fantasy will offer 300 dark crystals to those who reach Wanderer Lv. 6 before the maintenance during the Server Merge. The compensation will be delivered via mail within 2 hours after the maintenance.

During the maintenance period, which is scheduled to take place from 2023/4/17 06:00–09:00 (UTC+0), players will not be able to log in to the game. Tower of Fantasy recommends that players log off 15 minutes before the update commences and avoid making purchases 5 minutes before the server is down to avoid any possible issues or losses of in-game properties.

Players are not required to take any action during the Server Merge. Technicians from Tower of Fantasy will reopen the server once all game data has been verified to be accurate.

If players discover any discrepancies in their game data after the merge, they are advised to get in touch with customer service, and the team will verify it for them.

Tower of Fantasy has also released a list of servers to be merged in each region. The data on servers within the same region will be merged after the maintenance. The list includes servers from North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia.

The much-awaited version 2.4, Under the Grand Sea, is all set to launch soon with a thrilling underwater map and a new main story that introduces a mysterious character, Lan.

The new map, The Grand Sea, is a fascinating underwater world consisting of three parts: The Grand Sea Island, Innars, and Dragon Breath Volcano.
