Players will find additional tracks, encounter the final target, or face other random encounters during their search. Each tracking step, however, is bound by a time limit.

As players progress in their tracking, the likelihood of catching the target increases. Catching the target usually results in a fight, but larger groups may frighten off the target, prolonging the chase. Only the hunters know the target’s location, preventing larger groups from waiting around to contest them.

Tracking Rewards

Initially, players can track and fight rare creatures that match the new Shapeshifter weapon forms. These creatures may drop new Artifact Items, which can be crafted into Shapeshifter Artifact Weapons. They may also drop new Alchemical Ingredients that can be used to create a set of rare potions as part of the potion enchanting overhaul.

A broader variety of trackable creatures will be introduced in subsequent updates, opening up even more possibilities for the Albion Online community.

In their human form, Shapeshifters are skilled in manipulating raw energy, inflicting damage on enemies, disrupting adversaries, or bolstering allies. During this process, they accumulate “Shift” charges, which can be used to transform into their weapon’s associated Shape.

Each Shapeshifter Weapon is equipped with a unique Shape, complete with its own set of abilities. These abilities can be further enhanced using previously collected Shift charges. The game encourages Shapeshifters to continuously alternate between forms to maximize their battlefield potential. Additionally, each Shape has unique health and armor stats, replacing the human stats and enabling players to adapt to different roles during combat.

This new system allows for a multitude of build possibilities under two broad strategies. Players can amplify their Shape’s strength by equipping matching gear when in human form or opt for equipment that suits a different playstyle to their Shape, enabling a switch from damage dealer to tank roles, or vice versa.

Albion Online’s thrilling high-stakes Crystal League competition is returning with a bang! The Championship, with notable changes from previous seasons, will feature two tournaments spanning the weekend, hosted on both Albion East and West servers.

The Crystal League Championships (CLC) will unfold during the offseason, with the EAST server CLC scheduled for Saturday, June 10th, from 10:00 UTC to 15:00 UTC, and the WEST server CLC set for Sunday, June 11th, from 17:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC.

In a refreshing departure from previous seasons, battles will be non-lethal, hard-capped at 1800 IP. Participants will be required to bring their own gear, and matches will run through the in-game scrim UI. Specific times will be provided to the teams prior to each match, and teams should be ready for back-to-back matches if needed.

Teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches (BO3). Once the qualifying teams are announced on June 5th, they must provide team information, including team name, designated substitute, team captain, team members, and a team logo created using in-game guild logo creation tools.

Eight teams will be chosen to participate in the Championship for each server, comprising 4 teams from the Lethal league and 4 teams from the Non-lethal league. A new points system has been devised to ensure a fair chance of qualifying for all teams, and no-shows will count the same as full wins within this system.

Strict rules have been set in place for the Championship, encompassing general regulations, qualification guidelines, match and break rules, and substitute rules. Teams found to be in violation of these rules will be subject to penalties at the discretion of the Championship organizers.
