The ArcheAge development team has released the Winter Update. In a detailed announcement, the team outlined several key changes and additions aimed at enhancing the player experience and boosting character growth in the popular MMORPG.

1. Increased Max Damage Cap: The update will raise the maximum damage cap from 150,000 to 250,000. 3. Unstable Erenor Infusions: These new tradeable Eternal-grade synthesis materials, obtainable by defeating certain raid monsters, can be used for synthesizing all Erenor equipment and crafting specific items through Blue Salt Brotherhood merchants.
4. Expanded Max Tempering Stage: The update will increase the maximum tempering stage for specific equipment from +30 to +35, allowing for enhanced equipment performance.
5. World Boss and Shadow Invasion Renewal: Changes in the appearance of World Bosses in conflict zones will be implemented, and a new field monster, “Roaring Astor”, will be introduced.
6. Reopening of Battle of Mistmerrow: The popular Battle of Mistmerrow event returns, with the same process as before, involving Nuia, Haranya, and Pirate factions.

Additional improvements include a new method for obtaining “Abyssal Lunashard”, adjustments to ease the pressure on heroes building territories, and an increase in the max stacks of various items from 100 to 1,000 to address inventory issues.

The developers also plan to fix the HP regen of healing potions and food, making the HP recovery fixed regardless of one’s Received Healing. This change is aimed at ensuring fairness across different classes.

ArcheAge has just announced a thrilling addition to its gameplay – the Stillwater Gulf. This new naval arena mode introduces ship-based battle royale action to the game, promising intense maritime skirmishes and high-stakes survival.

In the Naval Arena: Stillwater Gulf, players are pitted against each other in a high seas battle to the death. Each player will summon their own clipper at the start of the game, which they must stay on board throughout the entirety of the match.

Survival not only requires combat prowess, but also strategic play. As the wave of Greedy Shadows encroaches, players must stay within Ezi’s Divine Protection or face certain death. Exploration and monster slaying offer players opportunities to find supplies, which can then be used to upgrade their clippers and gain the upper hand against opponents.

Despite the one-hour duration of the arena, players must stay vigilant as the Greedy Shadows move fast, ensuring a quick and dynamic battle. Communication is also prohibited in the arena due to the curse of the ghosts, adding another layer of challenge as players fight under the same conditions with all active buffs and debuffs canceled.

The Stillwater Gulf can accommodate 20 to 50 players and is available for a limited period, from July 13, 2023 (post-maintenance) to August 3, 2023 (pre-maintenance). Eligible players, those at level 30 and above, can participate up to five times daily with rewards restricted to three instances per day.

Players in the European region can join the battles daily from 15:00 to 23:00 CEST, while North American players can enter from 13:00 to 21:00 PDT.

Entrance to the arena is simple. A banner will appear at the top right corner of the screen during entry times, which players can click to open the Instance window. However, bear in mind that players under any form of debuff, such as awaiting or participating in a trial, being a prisoner, or carrying a trade pack, will not be allowed entry.

Even after players have exhausted their daily entries, they can still participate in the arena, though they won’t earn instance rewards and their results will still affect their rankings.

Get ready for some news from the world of ArcheAge. As we head into summer, the game’s developers have been turning up the heat with some exciting new developments planned for the June 2023 update.

Enter the Resourceful Daru

The most intriguing of these is the introduction of the new transformation system, “Daru.” Originally conceptualized as a new race, the developers thought a peaceful, financially oriented lifestyle fit the Daru better. As a result, they decided to create Daru as a transformation instead.

When players activate the Daru Transformation skill, their character’s avatar will transform into a Daru, improving their efficiency in non-combat activities. The transformation is made possible by obtaining a “Daru Transformation Scroll” through a quest that becomes available upon meeting certain conditions.

Flag War: An All-New Arena Experience

The June update is also set to introduce a brand new arena event, the Flag War. This factionless 10 vs. 10 battle challenges teams to steal the most flags or take out the most enemies to secure victory. The new arena is expected to run as a test for four weeks, with player feedback helping to shape the final version.

Global Arena Beta Service Launch

ArcheAge’s developers are also launching the beta service for the “Make a Splash” global arena. This will allow players from various regions, including Korea, Asia, North America, and Europe, to form teams and compete in the arena together.

Skills and Game Mechanics Adjustments

A number of changes and adjustments to skillsets and game mechanics are also in the works. These include skill balance adjustments targeting “tank” classes and the introduction of skills designed to counter other classes. Auramancy and Malediction skills, in particular, will see modifications.

Alongside these changes, the Ancestral skill will be applicable when using the Skillsaver feature. Also, the costs of resetting or changing skillsets/skills will now consider the player’s Ancestral Level.

Quality of Life Enhancements

In addition to the major updates, several quality-of-life improvements are coming. These include a new title search feature, options to toggle Erenor Wings display, and improved preview features. The update will also remove the requirement of using Honorforged Medals for switching to Ancestral Level.

As the June update also includes exclusive furniture for Guild Housing, this promises to be an exciting time for ArcheAge players.

The game’s developer, Gamigo, has announced a server merge that will take place on August 17, 2023. The merge will affect both ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained servers, and will result in a new server structure for both versions of the game.

To prepare for the merge, Gamigo has set up a schedule of actions that will take place leading up to the merger. On May 1, 2023, the paid server transfer service will be temporarily disabled. On May 11, 2023, character creation will be restricted on non-main servers marked with R. At the same time, a free server transfer service will be offered for players to move from R servers to M servers early. Fresh start servers marked with FS will continue to operate normally and will not have access to the free transfer service.

On June 29, 2023, the seasonal fresh start servers Dahuta (EU) and Shatigon (NA) will be closed as previously announced. Players are urged to use the free server transfer service to move their characters to a main server as soon as possible. Any characters not transferred from Dahuta and Shatigon will be permanently lost due to the data wipe.

The server merge is scheduled for August 17, 2023. M and R servers will be merged into a new server labeled N, which will be the new main server. Player-owned land in existing M and R servers will be wiped. Gamigo has provided a new server structure for both ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained after the merge, which can be found in their official announcement.

Players have also been given a FAQ to address common questions regarding the server merge. Transfers between ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained will not be possible, and cross-region transfers are also not allowed. Outbound transfers are only available for R servers, while inbound transfers are only available for M servers. Transfers are not available for players on Fresh Start servers.

ArcheAge is abuzz with excitement as two simultaneous events are currently underway. Players have the opportunity to participate in the Miroir Ice Fishing Festival and The Love Researcher’s Special Chocolate events.

The Miroir Ice Fishing Festival is taking place from February 2nd to February 23rd, 2023, and provides players with a peaceful environment in the Miroir Tundra region. Participants can access the festival region through the Worldgate: Miroir Ice Fishing Festival, located near the Haranya Alliance Faction Base of Austera, the Nuia Alliance Faction Base of Marianople, and Diamond Shores.

On the other hand, The Love Researcher’s Special Chocolate event, in celebration of Valentine’s Day, will run from February 2nd to February 16th, 2023. Players can spread love and joy by participating in a daily quest, provided by the Love Researcher, who will be appearing at Marianople, Austera, and Growlgate Isle during the event period.

Inheritors of ArcheAge: Unchained have been greeted with exciting news from the game developers. The upcoming Fresh Start server has been redesigned to cater to the feedback received from the previous server, with improvements aimed at providing a better gaming experience.

According to the developers, the beloved aspects of the previous Fresh Start server have been retained, with the addition of boosts for “Disciple’s Equipment.” This change comes as a result of feedback regarding the current focus of boosts being on “Hiram Guardian equipment.”

In line with the previous Fresh Start server, players can expect double or triple XP, Conflict/War/Siege/Quest Honor Points, and Vocation Badges while the server lasts. Additionally, players can earn rewards by progressing through the game and upgrading their characters and equipment.

The Fresh Start server is set to run for three months, after which there will be a one-month period for players to transfer their characters for free and receive graduation rewards.

The developers encourage continued feedback from players and have provided details on the new server.

ArcheAge is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special event for players.

Starting on January 16th, the game will be giving out gifts for 10 days to players as a way of thanking them for their support over the past decade. The event period will run from January 16th to January 25th, with gifts being distributed during the daily maintenance period.

After the relative success of the ArcheAge: Unchained Fresh Start Servers back in September, ArcheAge is following suit.

Player feedback to the Fresh Start servers was mostly positive, with many ArcheAge fans happy to see a return to the game’s roots.

The servers ArcheAge Fresh Start servers will be launching on December 15th and will focus on faction PvP, faster progression, and events.

We were pleased to see the positive reception to the ArcheAge: Unchained Fresh Start server in September and see that the seasonal style, with enhanced boosting and progression, was popular and well received. We’ve also heard a lot of feedback that on the original ArcheAge, the hurdle to catch up to veteran players is too high. With this in mind, we will be opening up a fresh start for ArcheAge on Dec 15th, 2022.

That being said, the art style is still very pleasing and the world is absolutely massive, so there is definitely a lot of eye candy to enjoy.

Sound

The game’s soundtrack is very good and sets the tone for the world of ArcheAge perfectly. The music is orchestral and epic, which fits the game’s setting well.

Population

The game’s population is sadly in decline and has been for some time. Some of the servers will still have a decent enough population for you to find someone to play with, but most are pretty dead.

This is likely due to the game’s age and the fact the game has been neglected by the publishers and developers over the years.

ArcheAge and ArcheAge Unchained have officially switched publishers and are now operating under the Kakao Games banner.

A few early hiccups aside and it looks like the change has gone down relatively smoothly. A few minor issues are affecting parts of the player base but the devs and support staff are aware of the various issues and working to implement fixes.

ArcheAge’s first event since the switch is also live. Players can now return to Snowfang Isle and participate in the event to earn Snowflower Village Coins that can be spent on various rewards.
