Soulbound Studios CEO Jeromy Walsh has posted another Inside Chronicle of Elyria on Youtube, this time mostly going through the basic gameplay of Kingdoms of Elyria.

In the colony simulator, players begin with a small hamlet with 10 parcels of land and 10 citizens. You will not be able to directly control the citizens directly though. Only one biome, the forest, is available, to begin with, but more are to be added at a later time.

Despite facing a lawsuit, Chronicles of Elyria seems to be moving along. In a recent blog post, details on development into 2022 have been revealed along with a roadmap and video titled “Inside Chronicles of Elyria – Episode 3”.

The post and video mostly focus on Kingdoms of Elyria, a standalone game that will be used to gather feedback on the domain, settlement, and land management mechanics to be used in Chronicles of Elyria.

Kingdoms of Elyria will be released in four parts, with the first part to be released this year.

Another episode on Chronicles of Elyria has been posted on their Youtube channel, detailing what Soulbound Studios and CEO Jeromy Walsh is working on, and where the development is headed.

Comments and the like/dislike counter have been turned off for the video, but I’ll let you draw your own conclusions on why that might be.

Chronicles of Elyria reportedly shut down earlier this year. CEO of Souldbound Jeromy Walsh made the announcement in March after the company had run out of money, and had to lay off all of its employees.

After facing legal action from backers of it’s $1.3m Kickstarter campaign, Soulbound Studios returned with a video reassuring backers of the game that it is still in development.
