Fractured Online is set to host a Free Weekend event starting from Thursday, March 7th. This event allows both Steam users and those registered on the Fractured Online website to access the game without cost. This initiative marks the first Free Weekend for Fractured Online on Steam since its launch approximately four months ago, following the release of the Endgame Changer update.

The Free Weekend begins at 4 pm UTC on March 7th and concludes on Monday, March 11th, at 11 am UTC. During this period, players can access the game through Steam or by downloading the standalone launcher from the Fractured Online website. This period offers more than three days of access without the need to purchase the game.

Alongside the Free Weekend, Fractured Online will also feature a discount for the first time since its Early Access debut. The discount includes a 30% reduction on the Adept Founder Pack, with larger Founder Packs receiving discounts between 15% and 20%. These discounts will be available both on Steam and the official Fractured Online store, extending beyond the Free Weekend.

Due to limited financial and staffing resources after becoming independent, the developers of Fractured Online are inviting the game’s community to assist in promoting the game. The “Spread The Word & Win A Key” program has been reintroduced, encouraging players to share information about Fractured Online and the upcoming Free Weekend and discount event. Participants have the opportunity to win permanent access to the game by contributing to its promotion on various platforms.

Fractured has announced a unique Server War event to test the end-game and gather player feedback on end-game combat balance, with a particular emphasis on PvP (Player vs Player), including city warfare. The event is set to commence on July 19, at 2pm UTC and will run for 12 full days, ending on July 30. Access to the event is open to all owners of an Adept founder pack or higher.

In this time-limited testing phase, new characters will be thrust directly into the end-game, allowing free progression and access to items. This first-of-its-kind event will provide players the opportunity to test the full scope of Fractured’s gameplay mechanics under special rules.

Characters will start at the highest possible rank (50), giving them 60/60 talent points, with all spell schools at level 10/10 and all spells unlocked. The Server War will take place on the continent of Aerhen, the only available location for this event. There will be unlimited character attribute respecs, and costs for claiming land parcels and cities will be significantly reduced. After the event, world and characters will undergo a wipe.

In addition to the special rules, new features will be previewed during the Server War, including the first iteration of Alchemy, 4 new Acid spells, and a feature that allows players to raise their school levels by imbuing their equipment. The event will also include several contests run by GMs, including 1v1 and group vs group PvP tournaments.

Participants stand a chance to earn unique rewards for the highest PvP ELO, highest Legend Score, and highest Season Score for guilds. More details about these rewards will be released in due course.

The Fractured team also offered a quick review of their last pretest. The game had experienced some initial login issues which were related to CPU architecture. This problem was resolved the day after launch by migrating their dedicated servers to different models.

The feedback from testers on the new mechanics, such as the overhaul to the progression system and crafting, was largely positive. However, the team acknowledges that some issues, including the use of recipes in crafting and a lack of end-game PvE and PvP events, still need to be addressed. More updates are expected in the coming days.

Fractured Online, has announced a time-limited test slated to commence on Thursday, June 22, at 4pm CEST (10am EDT), inviting all backers for an exciting dive into the game’s revamped world. This sneak peek into the expansive universe of Fractured Online will run until Sunday, July 2.

In a recent update from the game’s developers, all owners of a Founder Pack will have access to the test. This includes gamers who purchased the game on Steam or on Glyph, gamigo’s platform, provided they complete the necessary data transfer.

The primary purpose of this test run is to garner player feedback on a host of new features and changes that have been made to the game, as well as to check the stability of their new backend. Developers have warned players that this is not the “full” relaunch yet, and will be followed by a complete world and character wipe.

During this testing period, players will need to download the new Fractured Online launcher, the release of which will be announced separately. In the meantime, registration for new accounts has been opened, although players needing to migrate their accounts have been urged not to register a new one.

The update introduces an array of new features that promise to transform the gaming experience:

• Character progression has been overhauled, introducing a Rank system based on accumulated knowledge points (KP), influencing the number of Talent Points a player has and the level of their magic and fighting schools.
• Ability level-ups are now a feature, with each school having its own Orbs of Proficiency which can be collected from defeated monsters, enabling a player to level up their school from 0 to 10.
• A complete revamp of the crafting system, altering the types and properties of resources and materials, and significantly overhauling processing stations. An upcoming Alchemy feature promises to add another layer to the crafting experience.

• Hundreds of new animations, audio, and visual effects have been added for player characters and abilities, elevating the game’s visual and auditory experience.

The developers are eager for players to explore these new features and provide feedback, to assist in fine-tuning the game before its official relaunch. Following the time-limited test, Fractured Online is expected to be available 24/7, with no further wipes planned, marking the game’s proper relaunch.

Questions regarding Fractured Online’s return to Steam Early Access remain unanswered, with developers hinting that a delay may be possible until the game’s content and polishing reach a satisfactory level. However, players who initially purchased the game on Steam can continue playing through the new launcher by completing the data transfer.

Dynamight Studios has announced the data migration process from Gamigo back to its own platform for players of their MMORPG, Fractured Online. This transfer enables gamers who purchased the game via Glyph or Steam, or those who created an account on fracturedmmo.com and shifted to Glyph in the spring 2022 migration, to regain access to their accounts.

The newly restored website, fracturedmmo.com, now supports the data transfer process. Importantly, this procedure doesn’t apply to players who never played Fractured Online on Glyph; they can continue to login on the website as usual.

As part of this transition, the Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum founder packs previously offered by gamigo will be converted to Adept/Master/Legend/Champion packs on Dynamight Studio’s store. This conversion also brings an upgrade in benefits, particularly in VIP months and Dynamight Tokens.

Data migration includes only purchase-related details, ensuring no personal information, such as email, passwords, IP addresses, or payment info, is transferred. Players will set new email and password during the transfer.

The developers confirmed that in-game data, like game characters, would not be transferred due to a full server wipe. Any issues with the transfer process can be addressed via Discord or at support@dymstudios.com.

For players eager to rejoin the Fractured Online universe, the company promised the announcement of the exact date for gameplay resumption in the coming days, along with the availability of a new installer for the game. Those who have played via Glyph can uninstall Fractured Online from their Glyph client, or uninstall Glyph entirely.

This transition marks a new chapter for Fractured Online, with the game returning to its original developers’ control and promising a more streamlined and player-friendly experience.

In the latest developments following the split between Gamigo and Fractured Online developer Dynamight Studios, the official website for the MMO game has been reverted back to its original domain. The confirmation comes directly from Jacopo Gallelli, aka Prometheus, CEO of Dynamight Studios.

Earlier this year, both companies announced their split after Gamigo declared in 2022 that it would be publishing Fractured Online. Now, with the recent upheaval, Gallelli took to Discord to deliver the good news to Fractured Online fans.

“We have restored the old website – the official domain of Fractured Online is https://fracturedmmo.com/ once again,” Gallelli said. Not all features of the website are available at the moment. Functions like login, registration, the store, and the forums remain disabled, but a data transfer set to begin in the next few days should restore these functionalities.

Users trying to access https://fracturedonline.com/ should be redirected to the restored website, but Gallelli warns that some users might still see the old Gamigo-developed site due to their browser caching the old DNS entry. To overcome this, Gallelli posted instructions on how to flush the cache and recommended users to refresh their browsers.

Fractured Online fans have more exciting news to look forward to. “Stay tuned for the migration update – if all goes well, you’ll be able to test the latest build of Fractured Online by the end of the month!” Gallelli confirmed.

The move signals a fresh start for the game under the guidance of its original developers. More updates are expected as Dynamight Studios gears up to take full control of Fractured Online’s future development and release.

Gamigo and Dynamight Studios have announced that they will be parting ways in 2023, which means that Fractured Online will no longer be part of the gamigo portfolio. This news comes after the game entered closed development at the end of 2022 due to technical issues with a third-party backend platform.

The two companies have resolved to part ways in order for the technical issues to be addressed fully, and while it is a difficult decision for both parties, they believe it is the best path for the game and its continued development moving forward.

Fractured Online will continue its closed development while users are offered the option to transfer their account data from gamigo to Dynamight Studios. Once this phase is completed, Dynamight Studios will bring the game back online for a time-limited test through fracturedonline.com. After this, the game will be available again on Steam, with no more server wipes planned.

The game has a dedicated fanbase, and the companies hope that these operational changes will allow for the game to continue to grow and expand independently from the original partnership, providing the best gaming experience for all fans of Fractured Online.

Fractured, the upcoming MMO from Dynamight Studios is preparing for its early access release on September 15th. In anticipation of that date, the developers have released a preview of the Wildfolk race.

These creatures are half-human, half-animal and can be one of four different types: Tiger, Bear, Deer, or Wolf.

The Wildfolk hail from Arboreus, a world filled with forests and jungles. The developers also took this opportunity to preview some of the other creatures living on Arboreus.

Fractured Online is a new MMORPG that is currently in development. One of the most unique features of this game is the alignment system. This system determines whether players are good, evil or somewhere in between, and it affects both PvE and PvP interactions.

In Fractured Online, each character is always categorized as Good, Neutral, or Evil. These three titles, built on the classic D&D moral spectrum, are collectively known as Alignment. In the latest Feature Spotlight over on the Fractured Online website, the developers of the isometric sandbox MMORPG share more info about Fractured’s skill system and the different magic and combat schools of the game.

Abilities in Fractured Online are grouped into different categories known as schools of magic and schools of fighting. This classification is both logical and practical in the UI of the game – you can catch a glimpse of it in the Knowledge System-Spotlight screenshots, but your hero is actually able to learn all the abilities in each school with no restrictions and in no forced order!

Every school has gotten a short intro along with a video showcasing an example of one of the spells available to that particular school.

It was announced in late 2021 that Gamigo would be taking over game operations and marketing (not development) of Fractured Online, and on February 1st all account and game data will be transferred to Gamigo, allowing players to play the title from the Glyph launcher.

Backers of Fractured will be keeping their pledges and will continue working after the transfer. Should you wish to opt-out of the data transfer, you can do so before January 31st, but that means you won’t be able to play Fractured anymore.
